The Li-Ion is lighter weight (2.5 lbs. vs. 5.5 lbs.) and has a longer run time (110 min. vs. 90 min. on normal power) than the traditional MBP-1207 NiCad Battery. The new Li-Ion battery also features a five-level LED fuel gauge and a built-in charger.
The NiCad Rechargeable Battery has been tested and proven in the field for more than a decade. These batteries are rated at 1000 cycles and can be conditioned for optimum performance on the MBP-5200 and MBP-5600 Series chargers. The NiCad battery weighs 5.5 pounds and powers the Maxa Beam searchlight for 90 minutes on normal power.
NiCad batteries are an economical alternative to the new MBP-1307 Lithium-Ion batteries. Please note than an external charger unit (MBP-3100, MBP-5200, or MBP-5600 Series) must be purchased separately in order to recharge the NiCad battery.

This rugged, Molle-compliant carry pouch is designed to hold two BA-5590 military batteries. Using the MBA-7500 BA-5590 Adapter (sold separately), connect the batteries to your Maxa Beam Searchlight power cord for more than 200 minutes of run time.
The MBP-1207N-B (old P/N MBP-1217) NiCad Battery Belt Pack has been discontinued as of 3/1/2008. Customers who have traditionally purchased the battery belt pack may be interested in the new MBP-1307 7AH Lithium-Ion Battery Pack.
